Westfield Child's Party Workshop Overview



Day two of our Westfield Party Styling workshops was focused around Children's Dessert Stations. With our aim being to demonstrate two completely different Dessert Table styles, one with a feminine Butterfly focus and the other with Circus/Carnival theme.

Main Elements

Invited guests were encouraged to participate in hands on crafting and also provided with a fact / worksheet that covers topics discussed and main element used.

Creating simple embellishments

  • An embellishment that can be used to decorate and theme pop tops and straws
  • An embellishment that can be used to decorate and theme risers
  • An embellishment that can be used to decorate and theme loot bags
Dessert Station Theming

  • Discussion on what to use as risers
  • Decoration and Ideas including hands on tissue paper pompom activity
  • Discussion on back drops ideas
Loots bags and options 

A presentation and small hands on exercise on loot bag options including;

  • Boxes
  • Cones (transform a simple cone into a food holder for chips and popcorn, or a personalised party hat)
  • Bags

Stuck for ideas on your Child's next birthday party? Hosting a dinner party and want to jazz it up a little? Then we have the perfect workshops for you!

To celebrate The Tastes of Central Geelong Festival - Westfield  are hosting a series of workshops that will include demonstrations on simple styling techniques that will transform any party into an amazing one!

The workshops are being hosted by The Inspired Occasion, we formed in Melbourne in 2010. The company has successfully grown from a part-time hobby to a full time, thriving business. Since our inception we have received many accolades for events we have designed and managed. With our main aim being to deliver a once in a lifetime WoW factor experience for all of our clients and invited guests.

Bike Fest - Village Picnic

The Inspired Occasion had the honour last weekend of providing and styling the Time Out Melbourne Bikefest Stall. With 300 baked items all decorated in the Timeout colours including Vanilla and Carrot Cupcakes, Melting Moments, Sugar Biscuits, Macaron's and Cake Pops. All of which were eaten well before the event had finished!!. 

We had the opportunity to work with some great people including the Timeout Melbourne team, we also had the use of fantastic vintage props from  A Little Somethin Somethin and Asher Floyd Producer and Photographer who took all the photos below.

It is also with excitement that Amy Atlas featured this party on her blog also.
