Circus Themed 5th Birthday Party

We had a lot of fun event managing this very special 5th birthday celebration. With the birthday boy's request of a "Circus Theme" the hunt for the perfect venue started and what an amazing venue we found. The 22 invited children were taken for an hour of circus acrobatic activities before being spoilt with a table full of customised lunch boxes and a dessert station full of sweets and treats.

We designed and custom made a circus “Big Top” canopy in the traditional circus colour pallete of red and white stripes which was complemented by a bright yellow, red and blue ruffle table cloth, together with a themed lemonade stand which was also constructed for the occasion and served as a drinks station.

Our Dessert Station Menu included:
  • Rainbow Vanilla Push up Pops - The inspiration and idea for adding push up pops to this table came straight from Pizzazzerie (Courtney Whitmore) - Push-up Pops book!!
  • Vanilla Cupcakes
  • Sugar Biscuits with custom designed icing toppers
  • Popcorn Cups
  • Cake-pops

The Lunch Boxes contained

  • Packet of Crisps
  • Grapes and Strawberries
  • A Savoury Roll
  • Fairy Bread
  • Customised Poptops
The birthday cake was also design and made by The Inspired Occasion and incorporated the Big Top Tent together with fondant topper elephant and clown in keeping with the colour palette.

All guests took home a miniature gumball machine and giant chupa-chup as a thank-you gift.

Contributor to "Carnival of Fun" - Ah-Tissue

Continuing on our "Carnival of Fun" journey, tonight we bring you another fantastic contributor. The Inspired Occasion together with the Little Big Company are looking forward to using products from Ah-Tissue to create a fun and colourful Carnival Theme  (more details on the event available here

Welcome to Ah-Tissue

Ah-Tissue was established in 2010 by Daneve, a mum of one who has been born into a very creative family. Her father is a retired Art Lecturer and her mother is a retired music teacher. From a young age she has been doing everything and anything creative. My work experience consists of being an Event Co-ordinator, Screen Printer, Wedding Florist, and Assistant Photographer, just to name a few!

I believe there is a reason for everything and believe all my experiences has lead me to Ah-Tissue. I decided to start my venture due to being a “stay at home” mum, needing to bring in a second income for our family. I realised there was a market here in Australia for this old tissue paper craft technique to make fun pom pom decorations. My creative mind has enabled me to come up with so many different ideas for new products using additional techniques.

So If you are looking for a fun and unique way to decorate for your next party or bedroom, I am here to help. I know we are all busy people, so why not try these tissue paper pom poms on for size without breaking your budget.

Tissue paper pom poms dazzle the entire room as they hang from the ceiling like a soft glow. They appear as if they are floating in the air and have the capability to bring everything around the room in unison. Hang them from trees or your patio awning for a delightful look for an outdoors party or family BBQ's.

There are so many different events these look great at for example:

• Weddings
• Birthday Parties
• Bridal Shower
• Christenings
• Sports Events
• Photo Shoots
• Markets or Fetes
• Australia Day BBQ
• Bedrooms/Nurseries
• Engagement Parties
• Baby Showers
• Formals/Graduation
• Work Functions
• Hens or Bucks Nights
• Valentines

And the list goes on…

These lovely poms are made with high quality tissue paper. We are a small family run business (Mum, Dad and one little boy) But with your support (Thank You!) we hope to continue to expand our range of beautiful products for every age to enjoy.Being a small business, we pride ourselves on our attention to detail. You can be assured that every care will be taken in preparing and delivering your beautiful package straight to your door. We are focussed on making your shopping experience a pleasurable one. We love hearing from our valued customers, please contact us with any questions or feedback at Ah-Tissue. Party Feature - Island Themed Candy Station

We were delighted to receive this party submission from Christine at Bitter Sweet Creations.

This beautiful Island themed candy station with a colour pallet of blues, greens & creams was coordinated and organised whilst on holidays oversea.

Below is Christine's story

"Whilst my husband and I were on recent holidays in Spain, we caught up with family and friends. My husbands cousin surprised us with a special announcement that he and his partner had been married one day before they headed overseas.

His sister contacted me whilst I was on holidays and advised that a welcome back lunch for the newlyweds was being organised and could I put together a candy buffet for them.

I didn't hesitate for a minute and said YES!!

Planning a candy buffet whilst overseas on holidays wasn't the easiest of tasks, but I had an absolute Ball as always planning it. With the party being held only two days after I returned.

As the newlyweds were "island hopping" in Spain an Island themed candy buffet featuring shades of blues, greens & creams was created. Adding shell & frangipani accents throughout the styling of both the candy station and place settings.

My centrepiece was my favourite item to put together on the candy table and didn't come together until the day before.

The centrepiece was created by using an extra large martini glass. This was filled with shells and water.  The addition of adding a piece of cabbage flower which resembled coral completed my favourite item and completed the candy station.

This table was an absolute pleasure to create and I'm so glad the happy couple loved it.

I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Special mention and thanks to Flowers for Everyone - Stocklands Merryland NSW"

Woodlands Inspired Party - Edibles and Props

A few weeks ago we supplied a client with a few edibles and themed props to help celebrate her daughter’s 1st birthday. The theme was “Woodlands” and after viewing our edibles menu the client settled on a dessert menu of

Mini Rich Chocolate Tarts
Mini Lemon Meringue Tarts

With the use of some of our props the party was a huge success with the following great feedback from our client.

"Thank you for the tarts, cakepops and hire of decorations for my daughter’s 1st birthday celebrations last weekend. Those oreo cakepops are the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted!"

All our edible, candy and party items can be viewed at our online shop here
