After all the excitement of the combined birthday party we threw for Alex's little boy's 4th birthday and my sister (who is home visiting from Denmark) last weekend, we were thrilled to have it featured on Amy Atlas earlier this week!
You can check out the post here.
We will make sure we get the rest of the photo's up in the next day or so, with a full list of our wonderful suppliers.
It's kind of been a bit crazy after that though... we have a big Alice in Wonderland party tomorrow (working with some of our favourite vendors) and prepared some fabulous Edibles for a lovely Tinkerbell inspired party.
If that wasn't enough, we are thrilled to be helping out the lovely Sherryn and Jackie from Sugar and Spice Market, who due to a cancellation, found themselves without a Cupcake supplier for tomorrow's Ballarat market. While we couldn't be there ourselves, due to our Wonderland party, Alex pulled an all-nighter to supply the girls with cupcakes for them to sell!
We are sure they will do a fabulous job of being the Inspired Occasion cupcake chicks for the day. If you are heading that way, make sure you drop by for a cupcake!

To market to market... Fairy Floss!
We have loved being part of the recent Geelong Fairy Floss markets and the Sugar & Spice market in Woodend... in fact we loved it so much, we have signed up to do the upcoming Williamstown Fairy Floss market!
This time we will be the cupcake chicks on the day - and we can't wait! Alex has been busy designing a range of cupcake flavours including some all time favourites such as cookies & cream, red velvet and rich chocolate mud, along with a heap of others... mmmm it's making me hungry just thinking about them!
And by popular demand, we will also be offering our new french macaron range on the day... Alex has been baking them all week and I have been 'taste testing' the broken ones! It's a hard job, but someone has to do it!
Details are:
Fairy Floss Markets
Sunday 3rd July - 9am to 2pm
133 Melbourne Road, Williamstown
We would love to see you there, so make sure you drop over and say hi!
Cheers,

Market wrap up
This time last week we were both working around the clock to prepare for our very first market stand at the Sugar & Spice market at Woodend. Well, it's been and gone - and we loved every minute of it!
It was a freezing day, but the rain held off and the crowds were strong. We loved meeting all the other stall holders and were truly flattered with all the positive feedback we received on our new range.
A big congratulation to Sherryn for running such a wonderful first market. We can't wait to see where she take Sugar & Spice over the coming months.
We will be having a short break this weekend, as I head to Sydney for the long weekend and Alex enjoys some family time.
However we will be back next week, busy as ever, as we prepare for our stall at the Fairy Floss Markets in Geelong on 19th June as well as the launch of our new range. It's going to be a busy couple of months and we can't wait to share it all with you!
Cheers,

Sugar & Spice and all things nice...
Sorry for the quiet week over here on the blog. We have been so busy preparing for our first market outing at Sugar & Spice Children's Market this Sunday, that the week seems to have slipped us by!
We are so thrilled with how our new Inspired Parties range is coming together and can't wait to share it with the visitors at Sugar & Spice. With a mix of products designed by us, as well as complementary items from other (very talented) Australian small businesses, we are hoping that everyone will love it as much as we do!
Finally, we had such a great time at last weekend's Sunny Mummy dinner in Melbourne. We loved meeting all the wonderful mums and business women, all with their own special and inspirational story to tell. We really enjoyed being a part of this dinner and can't wait to do it again soon!
In the mean time, we would love to see you this weekend at Sugar & Spice! If you come along, make sure you pop over and say hi!

To market, to market...
We are so excited to be working on new projects and preparing for our first ever market stall, next weekend at Sugar & Spice Children's Market in Woodend. It's such a beautiful market and we want to make sure we match the high standards of the other stall holders!
This market will also be the debut of our new range, which we are very excited about! We had a photo shoot yesterday with all our new products, along with items from our new suppliers.
It was so much fun and we were so pleased with the results. Although we have either created or hand chosen each and every element, it was the first time we had them all together, in one place. I think we both expected there to be one or two things that just didn't work, so we were (secretly) pleased with how well it all came together.
We will be sharing photos from this shoot over the coming weeks, as we get ready to launch the new range officially. Until then, this sneak peek will have to suffice!

Sugar & Spice and all things nice!
Earlier this month you might have noticed that we mentioned we would be sponsoring the Sugar & Spice Children's Market 1st birthday celebrations - you can read about it here.
This week we sent off some yummy (and very cute) lollipops to be included in the goodie bags for the first 100 market visitors! They were so much fun to put together and we hope that they are enjoyed!
The move into the beautiful world of boutique children's markets is a first step in the natural expansion of The Inspired Occasion offering. Don't worry though.... we aren't changing! Just formalising what we already offer and making some of our products and services easier for everyone to have access to.
We will continue to share this fun journey with you and we hope you all come along for the ride! And if you happen to be in Victoria, we would love to see you in Woodend on 5th June for the Sugar & Spice market!

Catching up
After spending most of our blogging week showing off our Hawaiian Luau party, we have missed a few things that we wanted to catch you all up on!
Firstly, we were honoured to have been reviewed by the Little Crew App earlier in the week. You can read it here. If you haven't come across Little Crew before, then you must get onto it! They review a fabulous range of children's products, services and activities each week and will give you the low down on any sales and specials.
Secondly, we were very excited when Sherryn from Sugar and Spice Children's Market announced our sponsorship of their 1st birthday market on 5th June in Woodend. This will be our first market and will mark a natural expansion of The Inspired Occasion brand. We are very excited about this opportunity and will be sure to update you all as it gets closer.
Finally, as you may know, Alex is a super clever baker, making the most delicious tasting and divine looking 'edibles' around! As we have recently gone through the process of having our kitchen Food Safety Certified, we are now able to provide our range direct to our customers. If you are interested in some treats for your next event, please contact us for a price list.
I think that's it for now... It's been a really busy time over here at The Inspired Occasion, but we are loving every minute of it and are so grateful for all the support and positive feedback we have received from our lovely facebook, blog and twitter friends. You guys are awesome!
We can't wait to share the other bits and pieces we have been developing - but for now, we need to get back to preparing for our Train inspired picnic this weekend.
Cheers,
