English inspired 1st birthday

We love a client who is open to something a bit different and wants to do a theme that means something to them. This little boys dad is English and they wanted to incorporate aspects of his homeland into their sons first birthday party.

We were even able to include a double decker bus all the way from the birthday boy's grandma in the UK and a set of skittles that his parents bought him for his bedroom. It was so nice to include these truly personal touches.

Getting ready for Christmas

We love doing markets; its a fabulous way for us to meet our customers, find out what parties they are planning and give them a taste test of our delicious treats. Not to mention the wonderful stall holders we get to meet.... although our wallets aren't so happy about that!

So far this year we have been fortunate enough to be involved with some wonderful markets... Fairy Floss, Sugar & Spice and Mathilda's Market. Each of these is so different, drawing a different crowd, in different locations - but each still so much fun!

We are really excited to still have some of each Fairy Floss and Mathilda's booked in before the end of the year and we will also be adding in Boutique markets to our schedule - which we are really looking forward to.

As of our next market, we will be getting into the Christmas spirit (scary isn't it!), with an exclusive and delicious range of Christmas treats available for order. Alex has been busy soaking the fruit for her famous Christmas puddings (which will be available in both a gift size and a family size) and designing our gorgeous Christmas cookies.

The Christmas puddings will be available for taste testing, so make sure you come along and enjoy a sample and place your order for collection closer to the big day. Details on the Christmas cookies will be shared soon.

Polka dotty in the park

Sometimes clients want a whole party managed for them, from start to finish. And sometimes they only want a hand with some of the details, a few bits and pieces to complete their occasion - either way, we love being able to help out!

This client wanted a party in the park, something simple and classic, with a polkadot theme in yellow, lavender and white. She wanted to do the catering for the adults herself, but needed some help with the kids food and some candy.

Using our marquee (which is available for hire if you are in Melbourne); we hung the roof with lanterns and pom poms, set up a simple candy station and created some delicious lunch boxes for all the kids.

These lunch boxes are becoming a bit of a staple with our events, they are so cute and kids really love each having their own little box filled with delicious treats. We have also found it to be a great solution when you have kids with allergies or intolerance's as they each get a personalised box, reducing the risk of them accidentally eating something they shouldn't.

We were also able to use some of the fabulous new candy boxes from Candy Soirees. Don't they look adorable with the little bows on them?

What's better than sitting in the park and munching your way through a lunch box in the sunshine? These kids certainly enjoyed it.
