Off to the markets....

This Sunday you will be able to catch us at the Bulleen Fairy Floss Markets. It's one that we have visited before, but have not had a stand at. We are pretty excited to be on the other side of the table this time round!

We will have some of our fabulous party stock with us...

Mini recycled milk bottles. One of our most popular sellers, these look gorgeous on any dessert station.

Wooden cutlery - environmentally friendly and still so stylish!

Paper party straws with huge range of colours including red and white stripes, blue and white stripes, purple spots, pink spots, yellow and white stripes and green and white stripes.

Cupcake cups. These can be used for so many different things, cupcakes, lollies, treats....

Lolly scoops - perfect for filling little lolly bags

We will also have our tablecloths, table runners, lanterns, candy and pom poms....wow that's a lot! These are all available in our shop too - so if you can't make it to the market, you can still have all the fun... ok, maybe not ALL the fun - you will miss out on our delicious macarons which we will also have there!

If you would like to place an order on the shop and collect it from us, you can certainly do that too - we would love to see you on Sunday between 9am and 2pm at The Manningham (1 Thompsons Road, Bulleen).

Cheers,

Inspired By - Princess Party

It's taken us a while, but we are back on track with our 'Inspired By' series. We started off this series with the lovely Jaimee from Bushel & Peck - you can check it out here. Since then we have  received so many wonderful submissions and can't wait to share them all with you!

Tonight is lovely Katena from Taylor Made Baking, who put together this delightful dessert station for her niece's 5th birthday. Taylor Made Baking is one of the first blogs we came across when we started our own blog, so we are thrilled to feature some of Katena's work today.

Using a classic theme of Princess and a colour palate of classic pink, Katena has put together such a sweet table, for a sweet little girl.

What a gorgeous castle cake! It was a red velvet and caramel mud cake - sounds delicious!

These wands are just divine... love the addition of the tiny little '5' on each one.

Katena made all the baked items herself - what a talented lady! Drop by her blog for a full write of up this party including all her suppliers.

Thanks Katena for letting us share this party with our readers!

Don't forget, if you would like us to feature your party, we are still taking submissions for this series. Email through the party details, along with some photos (max 10) to us here. We would LOVE to see them!

Cheers,

Unicorns and rainbows

(image via here)

Last night we sent out a request to many of our friends in the party planning industry, for help with a special 6th birthday party we are putting together, for a very special little girl who is facing some serious health issues.

The birthday girl has chosen a theme of unicorns and rainbows, which seems fitting as it represents hope, joy, fun and filled with colour.

We have been absolutely overwhelmed (and thrilled) with how many of you have offered your assistance, your support and your prayers.

It is going to take us a few days to work through everything and get back to you all, but please know how grateful we are for everyone's offers.

It's going to be a truly fabulous party!

Still sailing!

Last night we shared the first part of the photo's from our Nautical themed party that we threw for Josh. You can catch up here if you missed out...

As promised, we are back the second lot of photos and our suppliers...

We used little lunch boxes for each of our little sailors. It was a great way to feed a lot of small children all at once. Did you know we can create these for your next event? Drop us an email for more information.

Big thanks to the following lovely ladies for the gorgeous products:

- Single coloured candy is from Niki at Candy Soirees
- The lovely sugar swivel sticks, blue party bags and the lovely large white cake stand are all from Leanne at Sweet Style.
- The small wooden boat on top of the cake is from Le Petite Party

All other products are available from The Inspired Occasion including; paper party straws, all edible items, the divine birthday cake, tissue paper pom poms and all party stationery.

We have to say a big thanks to our wonderful families for indulging our party whims!

Finally, last but by no means least, thanks to all of you! We were overwhelmed with all the lovely supportive comments left on our facebook page, tweeted, texted and emailed to us after our Amy Atlas feature last week. We really appreciate each and every one of them.

Cheers,

Come sail away with us....

Our family is pretty lucky... not only do they have us as mums, sisters and daughters (!), but they get the best parties!

We were thrilled to be able to throw this one for a very special little man, Alex's son Josh, who was turning 4 and; a special (not so little) girl, my sister Claire, who was turning 24. They share a birthday a week apart, so with Claire home from Denmark on holidays, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to throw a party for them both!

Being a combined girl and boy party, we wanted something that was classic, stylish and would work for both grown ups and kids. Our nautical 'Sail Away' theme (that is all available in our online store) worked perfectly and we were able to have some fun with all the different elements.

As usual, we took far too many photos, so will share some tonight and some tomorrow night, along with all our suppliers.

These beautiful baked items were all made by Alex - she did such a wonderful job on this gorgeous birthday cake!

We were so excited to have had this party featured over at the fabulous Amy Atlas last week - if you missed it, you can check it out here.

We will be back tomorrow night with the rest of the photos and our suppliers.
